What’s your favourite scary movie? We made fans say Scream (2022)!

Using comedy, horror and makeup influencers on TikTok, we got the younger generation excited for the latest instalment in one of the world’s biggest horror franchises. We pushed the TikTok exclusive Text To Speech feature and created eerily realistic conversations with Ghostface himself.

Our objective was to share content with younger audiences that would amplify the release of Scream. With one creator, we wanted to demonstrate how to use the unique sponsored Text To Speech feature on the TikTok platform. With another group of creators, we wanted to introduce a new generation to the terrifying reign of a horror icon, Ghostface, with a 2022 update.

Ellie Addis

Ellie was identified early on in the Scream campaign as an entertainment aficionado, a horror fan, and a Scream fanatic. Spotting the diamante Ghostface in the background of her TikToks, we knew she would be perfect for the campaign. Her TikTok video showed Ghostface interrupting her getting ready for an evening out, conversing using the brand new branded Text-To-Speech feature until he appears in a scary sting at the end of the video.

Max, Grace and Brooke

Roger Jackson’s voice as Ghostface is central to the lasting legacy of Scream. We brought that voice, straight from the actor himself, to TikTok to interrupt a conversation between three well-known comedy creators and friends: Max Balegde, GKBarry and Brooke Hewer. Content from the comedic but at times unsettling video call was shared across Instagram and TikTok.

Results

The Stories shared from our creators pushing to TikTok content had over 80,000 combined impressions.

Over 15,200 total engagements were amassed on TikTok in the form of likes and comments.

Content went live across a number of social channels with a combined potential reach of 2.1M. 

Love In The Comments

If you want to find out how successful your TikTok content truly is, you should check the comment section. In the comments section of our creators’ videos for Scream, a number of recognisable creators’ names appeared, praising the videos. Positive feedback appeared in the form of ‘Omg I love this’, ‘Petition for you to be in Scream 6’, ‘The trio I need tbh’ and ‘Obsessed’.
