Held at Meldon Farm in Dartmoor National Park in Devon, the only cattle drive in the UK, we created an immersive experience, filled with content capture opportunities and ranch challenges, for our influencers to test whether they had what it takes to survive life on Yellowstone’s Dutton Ranch.
The experience was documented by our in-house production crew, a photographer and drone capture operator, ensuring we were capturing activities from the ground, in air and from the influencers’ POVs via GoPros.
Cowboy core is the look of 2024 and if you’re going to be a part of Dutton ranch you most definitely need to look the part.
Working with UK Country we brought a hat bar to the ranch where creators created their own bespoke cowboy hat. From braiding, branding and burning, creators captured as they got a personalised keepsake.
Once they had chosen their threads, we made it super easy for creators to create their transition with a tripod set up station in front of an authentic barn backdrop with a classic Y adorned on the wall.
Our dedicated social team worked with the creators throughout the experience, recommending and helping to facilitate other transitions, set ups and lip synced moments from the show.
No place like the bar or the bunkhouse is without its fair share of drama. Creators participated in a masterclass on what it would be like to be involved in a bar brawl with the help of our expert stuntman.
Throughout the masterclass, our influencers were given a chance to safely smash stunt bottles over each other and learn how to perfect the classic trick to a television punch or slap. It’s all part and parcel of the Yellowstone ranch hand training
It’s time to saddle up as the creators were put through their paces in a timed tacking challenge.
It is imperative for every rancher to be trained in the skills of roping.
After a quick lesson from our resident rancher, the creators were put to the test of trying to rope a dummy cow.
Our final challenge in the cattle yard was to herd a group of cattle - in order -into the right pens, a timed challenge that requires a very calm head!
We hosted celebrity couple and self-confessed Yellowstone fans, Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy at the ranch and pitted them against each other in the ultimate test to discover who would make the better rancher.
This content fully immersed their fans in some of the trials and tribulations of ranch life in a truly authentic setting, ultimately showcasing the bonds that are needed to thrive in the cowboy lifestyle.
The light-hearted approach to the topics and themes surrounding Yellowstone provided an accessible entry point to those less familiar with the show.
Pete and Abbey’s trip resulted in an incredible amount of content across The Therapy Crouch and Abbey Clancy’s personal channels including:
The second stage of the experience brought our group of creators together to capture their own content on the ranch. Some of this was teased in their socials in real time as they documented authentic off the cuff moments in this group setting, whilst most footage was banked for use during release week, allowing for a staggered release of content.
Our creators were carefully selected, to ensure the group dynamics elevated the content they captured. The schedule of activities was designed to fit seamlessly into their active social platform functionalities.
Our ranch recruits posted some fantastic content, generating 40 posts to a cumulative following of over 7 million+ and over 4million views.
