Octopath Traveller II


Substance Global was thrilled to team up with our partners at Square Enix to roll out an enticing campaign for Octopath Traveller II. 

Octopath Traveler II takes you on an epic journey across an all-new fantasy world, where you will discover the captivating, personal, and intertwining stories of each of the 8 new travellers.

Square Enix wanted to re-engage fans of the original game in western markets while highlighting the new features added in this second entry to the series. We produced a wide ranging toolkit that made sure to give equal weighting to the 8 characters you can play as, including animated character cards for each of them in multiple formats.

Character Card - Thief

To highlight the public demo, we created animated countdown cards. We showcased the games new day/night feature with a split screen video and also carried this through in a set of review videos.

The best performing asset by most metrics was the Ochette 'Out Now' countdown card with 4.4K engagement & 147.8K mentions and a platform-wide average engagement rate of 1.5%. (The Hikari "Out Now" countdown also was high up the list).

Overall, we delivered 13 assets for use across Square Enix’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter channels. They achieved a total of almost 800k views and over 22.4k engagements.
