The fun kicked off with a global stunt to tease the trailer launch. Our events team were tasked with executing the UK activity, a largescale projection on the iconic former City Hall building on the South Bank. The stunt was amplified by influencer activity with All On The Board and HZ Joe posting their excitement to a potential combined reach of 1.5m.
From trailer launch to release, our PR team handled asset syndication, feature and activity sheet placements, screening invites and competitions across key film, entertainment and family outlets. Junket interviews with talent including Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves, Idris Elba, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Tika Sumpter were secured with outlets targeting all our key demographics including Metro, It’s Gone Viral, GamesRadar+, Yahoo! Entertainment and London Mums.
Overall the PR campaign generated wide-ranging coverage from a diverse range of outlets, totalling over 350 pieces of coverage with a combined reach of over 215m.
As premiere day approached, our events team designed an engaging social-first pre-premiere cocktail party to immerse over 110 international influencers in the world of Sonic ahead of seeing the film. The entire event space was meticulously themed around Sonic the Hedgehog 3, bringing the movie’s vibrant colors, characters, and themes to life as well as creating plenty of content capture opportunities to amplify buzz around the film’s release. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a Sonic-inspired welcome drink, setting the tone for the experience.
The activations, including retro video arcade games and live painting installations, were all designed to reflect the movie’s energy and iconic moments, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere for everyone in attendance. We also partnered with Sega to integrate the new release of Sonic x Shadow Generations into the event through experiential gaming pods.
Our social team were down at the premiere providing social capture and posting for Paramount UK’s owned channels. Our content of the star-studded blue carpet achieved over 6.9m organic views on TikTok. We also invited 13 influencers to the premiere whose posts from the event saw a potential combined reach of 35.9M across platforms.

Artist Dave Sharp attended our Sonic Cocktail Party and demonstrated his speed painting skills to guests while creating portraits of Sonic and Shadow.
Zoe’s Fancy Cakes shared a video of her baking an amazing, intricate cake of Sonic and Shadow’s profiles.
Talented clay modeling influencer Ben Creates made four of the film’s lead characters out of clay and Boom Shadow Art created them in shadow puppet form.
We also worked with food, lifestyle, film and entertainment creators Lagom Chef, Sophiena and HZ to take on super speedy treadmill challenges.
