Exactly 10 years ago today, Substance Global took a chance on me to join the Project Management team back at the top floor offices in Farringdon.
I remember being asked in my interview “Why Substance Global?” and I answered I wanted to find a company that supported me in my career, that helped me grow and learn and in return I’d be positive, passionate and loyal, which brings me to my 10 year anniversary today!
I had never encountered a workplace that was truly synonymous with its offering. A company that instituted a work culture where employees could be their authentic selves, speak up about what they believed in, and help build a way of working that is flexible, inclusive, and connected. Now that is a company worth working for.
Substance is unique in that you can really help carve out your own path, you are taught to go after your dreams, work hard and have the confidence to deliver.
You are always encouraged to bring ideas on how to adapt processes, and improve on ways of working.
The way the company has adapted and has developed over the 10 years to have such great collaboration across the teams makes Substance such a great place to work. Teams working together with shared values and goals, supporting each other rather than competing, and in turn I feel this is what leads to delivering better and more effective digital campaigns each time and always in an enjoyable and positive environment.
I am forever grateful for the relationships I’ve had with the teams and the clients I’ve worked with, the projects I’ve been involved with and the opportunities that have been given to me.
Next for me, maternity leave to have my second child but there aren’t many mothers who say they can’t wait to get back to work - but I truly am excited to get back to Substance Global in Spring 2023, work together with the team I genuinely care about, doing quality work I’m proud of and take on new challenges and bring about new and exciting opportunities - that’s what gets me excited about the future!
