Paramount tasked us with highlighting the incredible voice talent, kooky comedy and bringing the Smurfs back into the mainstream!
Through colourful and fun social creative, we let fans know when to expect the mischievous blue beings back on the big screen. We created Countdowns, review and dubbing statics, YouTube games and shorts and giphy stickers to both shout about the Smurfs return and also let fans include their favourite characters on their own content.
We also created a Pet AR filter for fans to really immerse themselves in the world, turning their beloved four-legged friends into a super cute smurf version.
If the smurfs invade London and no one is there to socially capture them, have they invaded at all?
We took to the streets to cover a 700 strong takeover by smurf statues at iconic locations across the capital, turning them into fast social edits showcasing how they really do get everywhere.
We covered their train takeover at King’s Cross, capturing key UK talent Rylan’s appearance.
And we helped drive foot traffic to a special ice cream pop up at Westfield shopping centre Stratford, capturing the event and editing together a short promo in the space of a morning to make sure families could take advantage of the opportunity for a free treat.
All this alongside the usual coverage of a special screening event - not that’s pretty Smurftacular!

For the Smurfs, we worked across a family friendly set of creators to bring the blue Guardians Of Good into your social feeds.
From nail art to food art, gardeners to sausage dogs, through boosting our influencer creative was used as the backbone the Smurfs’ opening weekend digital campaign.
We also helped negotiate and contract Rylan Clark for a voice role in the film, developing that into further social pieces and capturing his appearance at different launch events, including a partnership with Lumo trains at Kings Cross station.
Our powerhouse publicity team ran the UK press office with precision, syndicating eye-catching posters, trailers, clips, and featurettes to dominate the entertainment media landscape.
We lined up exclusive junket interviews with the director and cast, generating standout coverage across leading news and entertainment outlets.
